1. Do not smoke.
2. Inspect your feet daily for blisters, cuts and scratches. Use a mirror to see the bottoms of your feet. Always check between your toes.
3. If your vision is impaired, have a family member inspect your feet daily, trim toenails and buff down any callouses.
4. Wash your feet daily and dry them carefully, especially between your toes.
5. Do not walk barefoot.
6. Do not use chemical agents for the removal of corns and callouses. Do not use corn plasters. Do not use strong antiseptic solutions on your feet.
7. Wear properly fitting shoes for protection. Inspect the inside of your shoes frequently for irregulations which may damge your feet.
8. Cut your toenails straight across.
9. Do not cut corns and callouses. Follow special instructions from your physician or podiatrist.
10. See your physician regularly and be sure that your feet are examined at each visit.
11. Notify your physician or podiatrist at once, should you develop a blister, discolouration or sores on your feet.
